Jackie Snape’s Page

Jackie was born in Louth, Lincolnshire where she trained and worked as a nurse.  She moved to Harrogate, North Yorkshire in 1987.

 

Jackie has many years experience of working in social care, with different client groups, and in particular in the management of services.  

 

Her current post is Chief Executive of Disability Action Yorkshire, a charity and social enterprise which provides services for disabled people.  She has worked for the organisation for eleven years and during that time has made considerable changes to the organisation including a major improvement on the financial viability.  She has entrepreneurial vision and is not afraid to take on new challenges.

 

Jackie has held a number of trustee positions and is currently also Vice Chair of Harrogate CVS.

 

In her leisure time she enjoys motorcycling (as a pillion passenger!), reading, theatre and live music.
